North Penn FBLA · Careers night
Walk the concourse and talk to working engineers, nurses, tradespeople and business owners about what their job is actually like.

Inside North Penn
Students in Engineering Design and Development, North Penn Engineering Academy’s senior-year capstone course, preparing polymers for electrospinning in the Nanotechnology & Engineering Research Lab.
The lab’s electron microscopes and the rest of its equipment are there because of donations and support from the local community.
Every spring the seniors present their research at the Nanotechnology and Engineering Symposium in the North Penn High School auditorium.

Pitch competition
Students pitch a business solution to a problem in their community, their region or the world, to a panel of professionals, scored on a published rubric out of 100.

Network
There are tables, but nobody is assigned one. Mingle. The colour on a professional’s lanyard tells you the field they came through.

Panel
Auditorium. Five seats on the stage, and a podium for the MCs.
How you find each other
Everybody wears a lanyard in the colour of the field they work in — or, if you are a student, the one you are curious about. Look for the colour, then walk up.
Say it however you say it. You get the fields to head for, the kinds of people to look for, and something to open with.
Why we are doing this
Students from other schools are welcome. So is anyone from outside the district.
